The best AI auto-apply tools in 2026

AI auto-apply tools compared: autofill you submit vs tools that apply for you, what to check first, and how Jobra, Simplify, JobCopilot and LoopCV differ.

By The Jobra team10 min read

"Auto-apply" now covers very different products. Some fill in a form and leave the final click to you. Others find the jobs, write the documents and send the application without you touching anything. Before comparing prices, it helps to know which kind you are looking at, and what you are handing over.

This roundup explains the two kinds of tool, gives you a checklist to use on any of them, and then describes five tools as their own pages listed them in October 2026. We make one of them, Jobra, so we put it first and stick to what it does; for the others we quote their own pages and link to them so you can check.

What "auto-apply" actually means

There are two families, and the difference is who presses Submit.

Autofill tools read your profile and fill in the fields of an application form: name, work history, education, sometimes the open questions. You check the form and submit it yourself. They save typing, but you still find the jobs and you still apply one by one.

Tools that submit for you go further. They search for jobs that match what you set, prepare an application and send it, usually within a daily limit. Some do it on a schedule without asking; some let you approve each one first. This is what most people mean by an "AI job search agent."

Neither is better in the abstract. Autofill keeps you in full control of every application. Full auto-apply saves the most time but asks you to trust the tool's choices, so the checks below matter more.

What to check before you choose

Use these questions on any tool, including ours.

  1. Where does it apply? On company career sites, on job boards, by email to a recruiter? A tool that only works on certain application systems will skip jobs that use others.
  2. Does it tailor the resume and the cover letter for each job? Many tools tailor one and not the other, or only on a higher plan. A generic letter sent fifty times is easy to spot. If your resume is the weak point, start with how to write a resume that gets past applicant tracking systems.
  3. What is the daily limit, and what counts toward it? Look for the number on the pricing page, not the home page.
  4. What does it check before sending? A missing attachment, a placeholder left in the letter or an address that bounces can waste an application.
  5. What does the employer see? Your name only, or a note that a tool sent it? Neither is wrong, but you should know.
  6. How much control do you keep? Can you approve applications one by one, block employers, pause everything?
  7. Price and cancellation. Weekly, monthly or yearly billing; whether there is a free tier; how to stop the renewal.
  8. Does it respect the job sites' rules? Some platforms forbid automation in their terms. LinkedIn's User Agreement (effective November 3, 2025) lists among its "Don'ts" in section 8.2: "Use bots or other unauthorized automated methods to access the Services." If a tool works inside a platform like this, read that platform's terms first. For the wider picture, see is it safe to use AI auto-apply bots.

The tools, one by one

Prices and limits below are as listed on each vendor's own pages in October 2026. They change often, so open the link before you pay.

Jobra

Jobra is an AI job search agent for the US, the UK and Ireland. It finds jobs that fit your profile, writes a resume and a cover letter for each job, and applies for you.

  • Where it applies. By email in your name, with the sender shown as "Your Name via Jobra", your cover letter in the body and your resume attached as a PDF; or through the company's own application form where it can. When a site needs an account or a captcha, the job becomes an "Apply yourself" card with the letter ready. Jobs come from major job boards and aggregators, companies' own career pages, and cold applications to companies near you. Jobra does no scraping and no automation inside LinkedIn.
  • Your control. Two modes: "Automatic sending" (jobs over your match threshold go out by themselves between 7 am and 9 pm, within your plan's limit) or "You approve what goes" (nothing leaves without your swipe). You can block employers.
  • Checks before every send. A resume with content, a recipient that receives mail, an employer not on your block list, and a finished letter with no placeholder; the resume PDF is read back before it leaves.
  • Replies. Employers' replies reach your own inbox, with reply-to set to the recruiter, and each thread shows on your Applications page.
  • Limits and price. Starter 29 a month: 10 applications a day in total. Pro 49: 20 a day sent by Jobra plus 20 sent by you, smart timing and an AI interview simulator. Max 99: unlimited with fair use (up to 100 a day of each kind), stealth mode, logic test practice and priority in the sending queue. Prices are in dollars in the US, pounds in the UK and euros in Ireland, with a welcome discount on the list price. There is no free plan and no trial. You cancel the renewal from My profile, Plan and billing, and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Details on the pricing page.

What Jobra does not do: it has no free tier, and it will not apply where a site requires you to log in; those jobs come back to you.

Simplify

Simplify separates autofill from auto-submit clearly.

Simplify does something Jobra does not: a free autofill extension that keeps every submission in your hands.

JobCopilot

JobCopilot says it can "automatically apply to jobs from 500,000+ companies worldwide" and that it applies only to "verified jobs on official company career pages." Its home page mentions up to 50 personalized applications a day and says it has 100,000+ users.

Its pricing page shows two plans: Premium, "starts from" $0.93 a day, with up to 20 job matches daily, and Elite, from $1.05 a day, with up to 50 and three copilots. It says weekly, monthly and quarterly plans are available. Both plans include an AI cover letter builder; "Tailor your Resume" for every application is listed under Elite. No free plan or trial is shown. The service is operated by Nextwave Labs Pte Ltd in Singapore, and its terms say auto-apply "may take automated actions on your behalf."

LoopCV

LoopCV says it finds jobs every day and "automatically applies on your behalf," through companies' application systems and by emailing recruiters with a template you choose or write. You can also check matched jobs manually before anything goes. Its CV builder can tailor a CV per job. Its FAQ says employers "see a normal application without an automation label." Its home page also lists a "LinkedIn Apply Extension"; the platform terms point above applies to any tool you use there.

The pricing page describes a free forever plan with a limited number of automated applications, and paid Pro and Premium plans that "start from €9.99/month." It says it scans 30+ job boards daily. LoopCV offers a free plan, which Jobra does not. More in LoopCV alternatives.

LazyApply

LazyApply says its "Job GPT automatically fills the job applications based on your information" and that it applies on "platforms like Greenhouse, Dice, Indeed and Ziprecruiter." It also says it sends referral emails to employees at the companies you apply to. Sign-up asks for a Gmail account.

Its pricing page lists yearly plans: Basic $99 (15 applications a day, 1 resume profile), Premium $149 (150 a day, 5 profiles) and Ultimate $999 (1,500 a day, 20 profiles). Its pages do not claim a resume or cover letter tailored to each job. More in LazyApply alternatives.

AIApply, briefly

AIApply says it "tailors your resume & cover letter, auto-applies, and coaches you live." Its FAQ says you can review drafts before they are sent, that auto-apply credits are sold in packs, and that it has "a limited free tier." Prices were not shown on its home page in October 2026.

Which kind fits you

If you apply to a handful of jobs a week and want to read every form, a free autofill extension is enough. If you are applying widely and the time goes into finding jobs and rewriting letters, a tool that submits for you makes more sense, as long as it tailors both documents and lets you approve before sending while you learn to trust it.

Whatever you pick, start in the mode where you approve each application, read the first ten letters closely, and only then let it run on its own.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between autofill and auto-apply?

Autofill fills in an application form and leaves the final Submit to you. Auto-apply finds jobs, prepares the application and sends it for you, usually within a daily limit. Some tools offer both.

Is using an auto-apply tool against job sites' rules?

It depends on the site. LinkedIn's User Agreement, for example, bans bots and unauthorized automated methods in section 8.2. Applying by email or through a company's own career page is a different situation. Read the terms of any platform the tool works inside.

Will employers know I used a tool?

It depends on the tool. Jobra's emails show your name followed by "via Jobra." LoopCV says employers see a normal application without an automation label. What matters most is that the letter reads as written for that job.

How many applications a day is sensible?

There is no right number. A higher limit only helps if the jobs really match and each letter is tailored, so set your match threshold first and pick a volume you can follow up on: every reply needs an answer from you.

Does Jobra have a free plan?

No. Jobra has three monthly plans (Starter, Pro and Max) with no free plan and no trial. You can cancel the renewal at any time from My profile, Plan and billing.
