An AI mock interview lets you rehearse at midnight, as many times as you like, without asking a friend to play the recruiter. Most tools promise "real-time" or "instant" feedback. That phrase hides three different things, and which one you get changes how you practise.
This guide explains the kinds of feedback, then describes four tools as their own pages listed them in October 2026, including our own, with what each does and does not do. It ends with how to practise well whichever tool you choose.
What "real-time feedback" can mean
There are three moments when a tool can give you feedback.
After each answer. You answer one question, the tool reviews it, and you see what worked and what to fix before the next question. This is the most useful for content: structure, examples, whether you actually answered the question.
After the session. You go through the whole interview, then get a report or debrief. Closer to a real interview, because nothing interrupts you, but you correct mistakes only at the end.
Live, while you speak. Prompts on screen about pace, filler words or eye contact while you are still answering. Useful for delivery, distracting for some people.
Words like "instant" do not tell you which one a tool offers: instant can mean seconds after you stop talking. Look for a plain description of when the feedback appears, and whether you speak or type your answers.
The tools, one by one
Jobra's interview simulator
Jobra is an AI job search agent; the interview simulator is included in the Pro and Max plans.
- How it works. 8 questions. You type your answers.
- Feedback. After each answer: an analysis of the answer against the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result), a tip, and a score out of 10. At the end, a final assessment.
- What it is not. It does not listen to you or give feedback live while you speak. It works on the content of your answers, not your voice or body language.
- On every plan. When you get an interview, Jobra prepares an interview card: what you sent to that company, the company in brief, likely questions, questions to ask, and a thank-you note.
- Price. Pro is 49 and Max 99 a month, in dollars in the US, pounds in the UK and euros in Ireland; no free plan. See the pricing page.
If you want to work on what you say, per-answer feedback is the point. If you want to work on how you sound, you need a tool that records you, or your phone (more below).
Big Interview
Big Interview offers an Interview Simulator with "video-based questions and AI-driven feedback," and says its AI gives "instant feedback on communication, body language, and content." You record your answers on video, so it covers delivery as well as content. Its page does not say whether that feedback arrives during an answer or after it.
Its personal pricing page lists Interview BootCamp at $39 for a 30-day subscription, Interview Accelerator at $99 for three months, and Interview Pro at $299 for lifetime access.
Yoodli
Yoodli now presents itself mainly to companies: "The AI Platform for Human Skills," with roleplays for sales, onboarding and training teams. Individuals can still use it, and its pricing page lists "Interview prep, public speaking and pitch practice" among individual uses. You practise by speaking in AI roleplays; the examples on its home page show scored feedback after the conversation.
Individual plans as listed: Starter, free, with 5 lifetime sessions; Pro at $8 a month billed annually, up to 10 roleplays a week; Advanced at $20 a month billed annually, unlimited roleplays. Unlike Jobra's simulator, Yoodli works on spoken answers, which helps with delivery.
Final Round AI
Final Round AI includes "Practice interviews" on its Pro plan, listed at "$25+/mo," with eight scenarios: general, coding, system design, behavioral, product case, data and ML, salary negotiation and recruiter screen. You answer out loud with an AI interviewer, and its mock interview page says feedback "arrives automatically in the debrief once the session ends." The free plan lets you set up goals and materials; the pricing page says "There is no free trial."
Final Round AI also sells a live assistant for real interviews, which listens to the call and shows suggested answers. That is a different product from practice. Using any tool like that in a real interview carries real risks; we explain them in AI tools during the interview.
Google Interview Warmup is discontinued
Google's free Interview Warmup is no longer available: its old address now redirects to a Grow with Google article, How to prepare for an interview, which suggests Gemini Live "to simulate a real-time, conversational interview." If you saw Interview Warmup recommended in older lists, that is why you can't find it.

How to practise well, with any tool
A tool gives you questions and a mirror. The practice is still yours.
- Say your answers out loud, even if the tool asks you to type. A typed answer you would never say in that order is not ready yet. Reading your typed answer aloud is a good test.
- Record yourself. Your phone's camera is enough. Watch for pace, filler words and whether you look at the camera. This covers the delivery side that text-based feedback cannot see.
- Build a few stories with STAR. Five or six real episodes (a conflict, a mistake, a result you are proud of, a tight deadline) cover most behavioral questions. Our job interview preparation guide walks through the method with an example.
- Redo the weak answers. The value of per-answer feedback is the second attempt. Rewrite, say it again, compare.
- Practise the conditions, not just the words. One run in the clothes, room and setup you will use on the day, at the same time of day if you can.
- Stop before you memorize. You want a structure and key facts, not a script. If nerves are the real obstacle, see how to handle interview anxiety.
Frequently asked questions
Which AI mock interview tools give feedback while I am speaking?
Few say so plainly. Most of the tools we checked give feedback after each answer or after the session. If live feedback on delivery matters to you, look for a page that states when the feedback appears, and try the free option if there is one.
Does Jobra's simulator give real-time feedback?
It gives feedback after each answer, not while you are answering. You type your answer, then get a STAR analysis, a tip and a score out of 10; after 8 questions you get a final assessment. It is included in the Pro and Max plans.
Is typing answers as useful as speaking them?
For content, yes: typing makes you see whether your answer has a structure and a result. For delivery, no. Pair a typed simulator with recording yourself on your phone.
What happened to Google Interview Warmup?
It is no longer available. Its old address redirects to a Grow with Google article on interview preparation, which points to Gemini Live for simulated interviews.
Can I use an AI assistant during a real interview?
Some products are sold for that. It is a different thing from practice, and it carries real risks for your application. We cover them in our article on AI tools during the interview.
